For me, July marks the start of summer. With school holidays starting and temperatures rising, everyone feels free and ready to have fun. But yeah, I am a working girl for
almost exactly 2 years now and I don’t have an unlimited two months off. So with my sister gone surfing and me stuck behind my desk, I start dreaming about all cool destinations I still want to visit. One of them is The Surf Lodge in Montauk.
Montauk is situated at the far end of Long Island, New York (just past the village of East Hampton) and houses a series of National Parks (read: beautiful nature all around!!). Sounds like the perfect place to unwind & relax.
I first learned about this pretty place to stay when reading about it on The Glamourai a few years ago. And when googling it again a couple of weeks ago, I fell even more in love with it. Besides the beautiful interior (and exterior) there are also surf boards at your disposal, yoga sessions, yummy food & cocktails and last but not least some music sessions and exhibitions from time to time – very hot and happening! Can I go there now please?
I think you get it, as far as summer destinations go, this one is on top of my list. And I will definitely go there! Maybe not this summer, but definitely some day! And if you’re interested, you can always follow The Surf Lodge on Facebook or Instagram and let your mind take you on a holiday.
