I have another confession to make – oops. I am addicted! And no, this time it’s not shoes or clothes… No, it’s the Olympics! I can’t stop watching it on TV, it’s driving my boyfriend nuts.
When seeing all the athletes doing their thing at the Olympics in London, all I really want to do is participate. In my imagination anything is possible – or so it seems. All of a sudden I outrun Usain Bolt and I swim faster than Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte all together. I know I probably won’t even get to the finish and beating the guys – those Olympic champions – might be an unattainable goal, but hey a girl can dream, no? The same way that I can dream about the beautiful nail art of the female inhabitants of the Olympic village (and that I love nail art, you can see here and here).
The first time I saw some beautiful patterns on the fingertips of an athlete, I was quite surprised. Why? Well because I was watching the finals of The Olympic champion Dana Vollmer dived into the pool with these arty farty nails and she let us know via her twitter account. And with these magical nails she was able to win the 100m butterfly final and beat the world record – hooray for
Olympics 2016 in Rio, here I come!
