A week ago my boyfriend and I had our second year anniversary. I woke up to an envelop with GPS coordinates and when I typed them in, I found out that my gift was a trip to Madrid: the city where I studied 2 years ago and as the matter of fact where I got to know my boyfriend a lot better as well. So I couldn’t have been happier with this surprise.
It was weird visiting the city again. So many things to revisit, so little time. But it was a wonderful weekend filled with lovely food, strolling around in (too) hot weather and of course some shopping. I found the most perfect cowboy boots at Zara (and yes, it’s cheaper when you buy it in Spain) after having to live without for 2 years – ah, the agony. You’ll see them popping up in outfit posts very soon.
One of the things my boyfriend and I loved to do when he came visiting me back in 2010, was going to Mercado San Miguel for some tapas and a glass of wine. The Mercado is a food market just behind Plaza Mayor where you can have a taste of what Madrid has to offer.
