I’ve always wondered if I could pull off a non-natural fairytale hair color. So before going to Paris, I decided to take it to the test and do a hairstyle makeover.
The quest for the perfect hair dye began. I wanted the color to be bright and last for a while but at the same time wash out after one or two weeks (no, I don’t consider myself a difficult customer – what are you talking about?). After a big interwebz search, I found my perfect match: La Riche.
I compared prices on different websites and eventually decided to buy it at Save on Haircare, a nice place for Belgies and Dutchies to buy their favorite hair products at lower prices. They also have an excellent service. Because some of the products weren’t available at the moment, they apologized, split up my order and sent it in two times. No extra costs! So if you ever wonder where to get your hair dye, let me tell you: this is the place to be! – Can you tell I am already a big fan?
But now for the color: I went for coral, lavender and (eventually also) pink flamingo.
With the coral, I brightened up my “red head”. Then, I wanted to dip dye my ends lavender. But unfortunately, my hair turned out to be too dark for this plan. Only my bleached parts soaked up the color and this just didn’t cut it for me. So I decided to apply a second color: pink flamingo – the color my sister ordered.
Et voilà, this is the result. The color lasted for about a week. After I had washed my hair 4 times, the color was completely gone. My sister on the other hand, who has never colored her hair before, managed to keep her colored ends for 2 weeks.
