80 years Lacoste.
I have been pretty sick last week – something about a balance disorder – so I haven’t had the time yet to tell you about my most recent adventures. But I am on the better hand (well, almost) so let’s get started!
About a week ago, I got invited to celebrate 80 years Lacoste. Couldn’t let that one slip, now could I? And some party it was. I would like to say thank you to Sofie and the Never on Wednesday team for inviting me and Maeltijd for making my taste buds sing with her lovely food! As me and my friend Laura made a pact to do some fun stuff after work, I invited her to come with me to the party. Time to discover the collection for 80 years Lacoste and play around with the Lacoste L!ve collection.
The exclusive jubilee collection for the iconic birthday of the brand, consists of two different lines. First up is the ‘Edition’ line with a lot of classics straight out of the René Lacoste archives. And second (in) line: the ‘Unexpected’ collection, which is all about the future vision of the brand. Classic materials and traditional techniques are used to create something totally different.
There’s a corner in the Lacoste store in Antwerp with both collections, but sadly enough they didn’t have my favorite piece: the lambskin woman’s polo dress.
And then: time for some styling with the Lacoste L!ve collection. With Laura as my
unwilling victim co-model. I had a hard time choosing between all the lovely pieces of clothing (as you can see in the Vine Laura made).
After playing dress up and some changing room fun – GIFfing around, what else – it was showtime!
I couldn’t help, but I also snuck in some classics like the crocodile cap, tennis shoes and a trench. Mixed it up with some “boyfriend jeans”, a cropped top, a men’s shirt and some colorful sneakers; et voilà ready to kick some crocodile ass!
And to end this lovely night: a yummy cocktail (or 2, 3, uhm I lost count)
